Job Summary

Oversee daily hotel operations across front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, and sales while leading department managers and hotel staff. Maintain high standards for guest service, cleanliness, safety, and compliance by conducting regular inspections and resolving operational issues. Manage annual budgets, forecasts, payroll, and operating expenses to drive revenue and financial results through occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR monitoring. Recruit, train, schedule, and retain employees while building relationships with guests, vendors, ownership, and community partners. Handle guest complaints and implement corrective actions based on financial and operational reports. Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency responses.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of hotel management experience
  • High school diploma
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and respond to emergencies when needed
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and inspect hotel rooms and facilities

Desired Qualifications

  • department-head or assistant-GM experience
  • associate or bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field
  • prior supervisory or Assistant General Manager experience
  • hospitality certifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, customer-service, and financial-management skills
  • Knowledge of hotel PMS, budgeting, labor management, and revenue-management practices
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and hold employees accountable
  • Experience with budgets, payroll, P&L statements, forecasting, and controlling labor and operating expenses
  • Strong understanding of front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, sales, and hotel safety procedures
  • Excellent customer-service and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to use hotel PMS, Microsoft Office, scheduling, and reporting systems
  • Understanding of occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, revenue management, and hotel sales strategies
