Job Summary
Lead daily operations for a 66-room Fairfield by Marriott transitioning to City Express by Marriott, driving revenue growth, profitability, and market share through financial management. Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team while ensuring outstanding guest satisfaction and strict brand compliance. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and expense management, and lead the property conversion by coordinating with ownership, brand representatives, contractors, and vendors to ensure a seamless transition. Develop relationships with local businesses and key accounts to increase market presence. Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Requires Marriott Certified General Manager certification and 3–5 years of hotel GM experience.
Required Qualifications
- Marriott Certified General Manager (MCGM) certification
- 3–5 years of hotel General Manager experience
- Strong financial acumen
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with hotel property management systems
- Experience with revenue management principles
- Experience with Marriott operating standards
Desired Qualifications
- Marriott Certified General Manager (MCGM) certification (if obtained within a designated timeframe)
- Experience with Marriott or another nationally recognized hotel brand
- Experience managing select-service hotels
- Proven record of achieving revenue and profitability goals
- Ability to motivate, develop, and retain team members
- Previous hotel renovation or brand conversion experience
