Job Summary

General Manager - Corporate Dining in NYC leads high-volume corporate dining operations for prestigious accounts, ensuring exceptional service, operational excellence, and financial performance. Responsibilities include driving team performance, staff development, cross-functional collaboration, compliance with policies and laws, managing food cost and quality standards, maintaining client rapport, overseeing financial reporting (P&L, budgets), purchasing and inventory controls, and planning menus with chefs. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 8–10 years of upscale food-service leadership (6+ years at management level), personnel management experience, budgeting and forecasting abilities, HACCP knowledge, and ServSafe or DOH familiarity. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are required, along with proficiency in MS Office and a track record of achieving company goals in line with client policies.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience
  • Eight to ten years of upscale food service experience as a GM or similar leadership role, including six years of experience at the management level
  • Experience in personnel management, including hiring, supervision, evaluation, and succession planning
  • Proven track record to achieve company goals in compliance with company/client policies and procedures
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, and must possess attention to detail
  • Supervisory, scheduling, training, and coaching skills
  • Experience in food purchasing, food costs, and inventory control
  • Ability to create budgets, flash reports, financial targets, and forecasts
  • Knowledge of HACCP controls, along with proper storage and use of food
  • Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving
  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification is a plus
