Job Summary
Lead the end-to-end manufacturing operation at the Pretoria site, setting strategic objectives and driving safety, quality, and cost efficiency. Manage a multidisciplinary team while ensuring production schedules are met through disciplined execution and corrective actions. Monitor operational performance, OEE, and material usage variances to implement continuous improvement initiatives and reduce unplanned downtime. Oversee capital projects, budget management, and compliance with the Operations Management System, including incident investigations and regulatory standards. Support asset reliability efforts and develop succession plans for critical roles.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Relevant Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, Chemistry, or a related discipline
- BSc Mechanical Engineering, BSc Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior management role within a packaging, FMCG or continuous manufacturing environment
- Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing operations leadership
- Proven Industrial Relations experience
- Experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams
- Proven experience delivering operational excellence, transformation and business improvement initiatives
Desired Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in Business Management or Leadership advantageous
