Job Summary
Manage all operational phases of the property to ensure customer satisfaction, fiscal stability, and good physical condition. Review occupancy reports, conduct surveys of local rental rates, and analyze operating expenses to create and implement an innovative management plan with an operating and capital budget. Direct administrative activities, establish performance goals for on-site staff, and coordinate contracted services while physically inspecting the property daily or assigning qualified personnel. Investigate resident disturbances, resolve violations, manage evictions, and report accidents, environmental issues, and legal problems immediately. Provide leadership, supervise resident/community directors, and network with local higher education officials. Exercise effective risk management to identify and correct potential liability issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree plus three or more years of supervisory experience in a property or housing management position, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
- Accredited Residential Manager (Institute of Real Estate Management) or Certified Apartment Manager (Building Owners and Management Association) or willingness to obtain within one year of hire
- Real Estate license is desirable
- Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
- Computer skills and math ability
- Accurate typing and record keeping
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of Entrata is required
- Ability to follow through with all necessary paperwork and ensure all deadlines are met
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally while operating in a fast paced environment
- Excellent skills in the management and motivation of people
Desired Qualifications
- Real Estate license is desirable
