Job Summary
General Manager role overseeing planning, organization, training, and leadership to achieve objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation. Builds store sales through local marketing and branding. Responsibilities include enforcing policies and standards, delivering responsive guest service, ensuring consistent food preparation and serving, achieving company objectives across operations, cash handling and reconciliation, staffing decisions, staff development, timely recordkeeping, preventative maintenance, inventory receiving adherence, performance appraisals, labor scheduling, compliance with health and labor regulations, and leading marketing/advertising campaigns.
Required Qualifications
- Be 21 years of age
- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area
- Have knowledge of service and food and beverage, generally involving at least 3 years of FOH operations and/or assistant management positions
- Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Must have the stamina to work 50-60 hours per week
