Job Summary
Lead operations as General Manager of a retirement living residence in Surrey, BC; oversee interdisciplinary teams, drive occupancy and financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and build community partnerships. You will build a high performing management team, direct and monitor overall residency operations, develop short- and long-term plans to achieve occupancy, NOI, and operating margin targets, respond to resident and family concerns with actionable remediation, ensure compliance with provincial regulations, collaborate with wellness and sales to grow occupancy, and foster partnerships with health providers and community agencies. The role requires a bachelor degree in a related field, 3-5 years of leadership experience in retirement living or hospitality, strong sales/marketing capability, and excellent communication skills. You must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to pass required background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel Management, or related field
- 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in retirement living, hospitality or similar sector
- Track record of effective team management, budget management and operational excellence
- Experience in sales and marketing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
- Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check
