Job Summary
Oversee daily dealership operations and lead all department managers to achieve financial and performance targets. Responsibilities include hiring, training, and motivating managers; conducting formal performance evaluations; planning annual operations and forecasts; reviewing monthly departmental forecasts with the comptroller/office manager; setting monthly and annual goals; monitoring DOC and recommending improvements; providing weekly and monthly financial reporting; maintaining lender and manufacturer relationships; communicating policies; driving employee morale and engagement; leading regular managers meetings; reviewing and approving training and compensation plans; coordinating with the business office for accurate records and analyses; developing merchandising strategies and cost-efficient advertising programs; resolving customer complaints; and performing other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Proven General Manager experience or equivalent high-level GSM/Fixed Ops Director with a track record of turning around or stabilizing performance
- Strong focus on daily store performance tracking to meet ownership and senior management expectations
- Understanding of financial statements and dealer composites to drive performance
- CRM proficiency to train and monitor performance goals
- Fixed Operations expertise and tracking
- Inventory management expertise (new & used vehicles, parts & accessories)
- Daily sales training and motivation
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must reside within commuting distance due to onsite requirements
