Job Summary
Lead all aspects of operations for the Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport, including daily department tours, weekly staff meetings, and monthly financial reviews. Maximize revenue through direct sales efforts, client meetings, and account prospecting while controlling expenses and ensuring compliance with brand standards and regulations. Manage management trainees, conduct hiring interviews, and oversee performance appraisals for department heads. Maintain high service standards by greeting guests during peak times, inspecting rooms, and enforcing safety protocols. Participate in required M.O.D. coverage and bi-monthly credit meetings. Forecast monthly financial positions and ensure all corporate training modules are completed.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- 4-year college degree and at least 4 to 5 years of related experience
- 2-year college degree and at least 5 to 6 years of related experience
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in Company approved spreadsheets
- Proficiency in word processing
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
