Job Summary
Lead all aspects of operations for the assigned property by optimizing financial performance, maximizing revenue, and controlling expenses through daily department tours and weekly staff meetings. Direct management teams and front-line associates while conducting sales efforts, including client meetings, account calls, and hosting receptions. Ensure compliance with brand standards, regulations, and safety protocols through regular property inspections, monthly financial reviews, and rigorous training programs. Manage hiring, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions for all personnel while maintaining open communication with corporate representatives and key vendors.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- 4-year college degree and at least 4 to 5 years of related experience
- 2-year college degree and at least 5 to 6 years of related experience
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in Company approved spreadsheets
- Proficiency in word processing
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
