Job Summary
The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for the operational and fiscal effectiveness of the restaurant, ensuring compliance with company and government regulations regarding food and safety. Key responsibilities include recruiting, training, and developing staff; ensuring guest satisfaction; managing financial controllables; and maintaining cleanliness and preventive maintenance programs. The role requires strong management skills, effective communication, and the ability to handle performance issues constructively.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Food safety certification according to state or local requirements
- Reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurance
Desired Qualifications
- Three (3) years of restaurant management experience with P&L responsibility
- Advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related field
Additional Requirements
- Positions requiring significant business driving must maintain an acceptable driving record (MVR)
