Job Summary
Perform minor fixes including ceiling tiles, wall damage, and lightbulb replacements. Install necessary equipment, check system controls, and complete preventative maintenance work requests. Conduct cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, and trash removal. Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systems, then test the functionality of safety systems. Log information as required and report resolved issues or those needing attention to the facilities or maintenance manager. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and stand for long periods. Occasional exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals. Background investigation required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position, preferably in a corporate setting
- Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions
- Must be able to successfully pass, as required, a federal, state, or local government's background investigation
- Must be able to comply with a drug-free workplace and pre-employment substance abuse testing
