Job Summary
Versatile and dependable General Maintenance Worker needed to support facility upkeep and repair tasks at USAFA. Responsibilities include performing skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled maintenance across plumbing, electrical, structural, and mechanical systems; cleaning and housekeeping; preventive maintenance of barriers, gates, doors, pools, fountains, HVAC, and carpentry; patching walls and ceilings, painting, repairing sinks/fixtures, concrete repairs, and replacement of filters and components. Assist craftsmen with tools and materials, document work status and timelines using Maximo, and use mobile devices for timekeeping and data entry. Maintain safety procedures, professionalism, and accountability for tools. Requires a valid driver’s license, ability to obtain security clearances and installation access, background check, and E-Verify; union representation by UA Local 58. Minimum 2 years of general maintenance experience preferred; familiarity with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems. On-site, full-time role at USAFA with potential on-call hours.
