Job Summary
General Maintenance Worker responsibilities include performing routine maintenance such as rough carpentry, painting, and basic equipment repairs; collaborate with others to repair or move machines; start machines to observe operation and diagnose issues; lubricate or apply materials; reassemble equipment; perform minor electrical tasks like changing bulbs; open clogged drains and plumbing; assist with loading/unloading and moving furniture; maintain tools and equipment; comply with safety standards and maintain a clean work area and company vehicles. Requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years in maintenance, knowledge of maintenance tools and practices, ability to follow instructions, OSHA compliance, valid driver’s license, and successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the maintenance field
- Knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, practices, and tools used in general maintenance
- Ability to perform simple tasks independently after given instructions
- Ability to read simple instructions and follow simple diagrams
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
