General Maintenance Worker

Inspect and identify areas, equipment, or machines needing repair, then troubleshoot issues to determine necessary fixes. Plan repair work using building blueprints or equipment manuals and perform general repairs such as drywall, painting, and door fixtures. Conduct routine maintenance on building systems, clean facilities, and assist inmates with injuries, illnesses, or emotional trauma. Order supplies and materials as needed. Work after hours, weekends, and holidays with short notice while following supervisor instructions. Requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and knowledge of carpentry, hand tools, and power tools. Heating/air conditioning experience preferred.
