Job Summary
Perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. Replace electrical receptacles, switches, and fixtures; patch minor holes in walls and ceilings; clean rain gutters; and repair wall paneling or door closures. Clear plugged drains up to 6 feet and vacuum water from flooded areas during leak events. Report to the Facilities Trouble Desk for dispatch on minor work orders, resolving problem requests within one to three business days. Assist with facility material movement and storage while traveling to project locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work
- ability to be dispatched as necessary for minor work order repair
- ability and competence to accomplish all tasks outlined in this section without additional training or direct supervision
