Job Summary
Respond to service calls, complete Change of Occupancy Maintenance, and perform repairs on building structures, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and sanitary systems. Transport, install, and connect appliances; move supplies; stack materials; and repair window and door screens. Dig excavations, level grounds, shovel concrete, clean culverts, cut brush, and operate power tools and lawn mowers. Remove damaged flooring and drywall; clean roofs and sidewalks; and ensure work-site clean-up. Update work order status on mobile devices, submit paperwork, and keep supervisors informed of activities and potential problems. Maintain vehicle inventory as prescribed and respond to on-call after-hour emergency repairs. Requires a REAL ID compliant driver's license for federal facility access.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Less than 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy
- Basic competency in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical trades
- Ability to provide basic tools and equipment necessary to perform daily duties
- Basic familiarity with computers and tablets
- Sharp customer service skills
- Ability to read and write in English, in order to understand basic instructions and take direction from supervisors
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work
- REAL ID compliant driver's license/ID
