Job Summary
The General Maintenance Technician role involves performing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in commercial buildings. The position requires technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication. Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma. Relocation assistance is not available.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in facility maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or industrial systems
- Valid driver’s license
- Forklift and aerial lift certifications required (or ability to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
- Proficient in troubleshooting equipment and performing complex repairs
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and aerial lifts
- Must be able to adapt to changing priorities, work occasional weekends or extended hours
Desired Qualifications
- Additional technical or trade training preferred
- Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email communication
