Job Summary
Pick up and deliver new, used, or rebuilt parts from vendors to reduce equipment downtime. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections, document findings, and assist in correcting issues. Perform basic preventive maintenance services such as oil changes, fluid checks, tire inspections, and filter replacements on fleet vehicles under supervision. Assist Senior Mechanics with diagnostics, component repairs, and complex tasks including brake work, electrical repairs, and drivetrain servicing. Maintain accurate service records and ensure common areas are regularly cleaned, sanitized, and well-maintained. Keep the shop, parts room, and waste oil area organized and efficient. Use appropriate tools and equipment safely while adhering to all safety policies. Participate in ongoing training to build mechanical skills and knowledge of fleet systems.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid California Class C driver's license or be able to obtain a California Class C driver's license
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 100 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Basic knowledge of vehicle systems, tools and mechanical processes preferred
