Job Summary

Respond to work orders, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial facility equipment including conveyor systems, overhead cranes, HVAC units, pumps, and forklifts. Diagnose and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems while safely operating 480v circuits, aerial lifts, and diagnostic instruments. Document all maintenance activities and repairs into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and provide feedback to customers on work order compliance. Inspect roofing, floor coverings, and structural elements, and recommend improvements to maintenance methods and equipment performance. Work Monday through Friday with flexibility for overtime, weekends, and holidays as business demand requires.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent
  • 5 years of experience maintaining buildings, facilities, or equipment in an industrial environment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have the ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be willing to work overtime when required
  • Must be willing to work holidays and weekends
  • Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
  • Must have a valid Driver's License
  • Must be able to obtain a security access badge at the client's location
  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift
  • Must have the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift
  • Must have the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift
  • Must have the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift
  • Must have the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift
  • Must have the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift
  • Must require the use of a Company/Client approved utility knife
  • Must be able to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding
  • Must have the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress
  • Must wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed
  • Must be able to understand and work safely around 480v 3-phase electrical power circuits
  • Must have the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Must be able to safely operate fork lift equipment, hoists and cranes
  • Must be able to perform preventive maintenance as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Must be able to respond and provide service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards
  • Must understand company policies and enforce safety regulations
  • Must be able to safely perform functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required
  • Must be able to operate various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions
  • Must be able to operate a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work
