General Maintenance Technician III

Job Summary

Monitor building automation systems to maintain cleanroom environment and integrity. Review service requests for repairs and maintenance, determine problem nature, and recommend appropriate solutions while serving as a resource for complex issues. Perform repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, fixtures, and systems, coordinating work with outside contractors as needed. Troubleshoot facility systems and ensure all work adheres to established code and building standards. Document specific needs for materials, supplies, and instructions, and assist in moving furniture and equipment. Work with or oversee subcontractor activities as directed by the supervisor. Hours are M-F, 6am to 2:30pm, though schedules may vary based on demand and transition to an AWS schedule. Overtime and on-call hours may be required to support customers.

Required Qualifications

  • High School graduate or demonstrated equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in area of specialization
  • Must be willing to work overtime when required
  • Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift
  • Flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift
  • Ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift
  • Ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift
  • Ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift
  • Ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift
  • Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding
  • Ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress
  • Wear steel-toed safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed
  • Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained

Desired Qualifications

  • Associates degree in industrial technology or certificate from an industrial electrical course
  • Experience working as a licensed electrician
  • Knowledge of lighting, lighting control and commercial systems
  • Experience troubleshooting and replacing 3 phase motors up 60hp
  • Experience with HVAC systems
  • Experience with a CMMS or Maintenance Management System (i.e. Maximo, MP2, etc.)
  • NFPA-70E training
