Job Summary
Inspect buildings and repair mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and alarm systems to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Perform maintenance on ventilation, refrigeration, and appliances; replace light bulbs, clean circuit breaker panels, and fix locks or windows. Conduct general upkeep tasks such as landscaping, portering, painting, carpentry, and pest control activities like insecticide spraying. Work autonomously while observing all safety guidelines to maintain buildings and common areas in optimal condition. This bilingual role supports the onsite property community for RDE Maintenance Services.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual - must speak fluently, write and read English and Spanish.
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)
