Job Summary
As a General Technician on the 2nd shift at JLL, you’ll maintain the operational excellence of a pharmaceutical facility by performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diverse mechanical equipment and specialized pharmaceutical systems, including fire life safety systems and carpentry work to support room configurations, office setups, and code-compliant environments. You’ll read technical manuals, blueprints, and GMP/FDA-aligned documentation, conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime, adhere to safety protocols and contamination control standards, and maintain accurate work records. The role requires hands-on experience in pharmaceutical/cleanroom settings, carpentry skills, and the ability to work 2nd shift (2-10pm) onsite in Mattawan, MI, with a focus on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of pharmaceutical/cleanroom experience with knowledge of cleanroom protocols and contamination control
- At least 2 years of carpentry experience (measuring, cutting, assembling wooden structures, supporting room configurations and workplace installations)
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, carpentry tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and fire life safety codes and standards
- Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces or at heights, and wear PPE as required
