Job Summary
Conduct general maintenance, masonry, and painting work on school buildings and grounds, including welding, plumbing repairs, and operating heavy equipment like scissors and boom swing stages. Document building deficiencies, apply protective and decorative finishes, and prepare surfaces for painting. Assist with crisis management operations, manage frequent interruptions, and safely dispose of hazardous materials. Operate compressors, sandblasters, and forklifts while adhering to school policies and reporting unsafe conditions. Requires high school diploma, five years of general maintenance experience, valid driver's license, and ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 80 feet.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years' work experience in general maintenance
- Must be capable of climbing ladders and working from a high lift or scaffolding
- Must be capable of operating a forklift and any other heavy equipment necessary to complete a given task
- Must be able to use a computer to generate work orders/retrieve work orders
- Must have a valid and current driver's license
