Job Summary
This role supports and oversees maintenance and shift operations for Tyson Foods' Monroe plant during the 2nd shift. Responsibilities include controlling expenses, ensuring compliance with federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements, interpreting and enforcing company policies, determining manpower needs, and maintaining prescribed records to reflect conditions accurately. The position involves solving problems with follow-up, collaborating with department heads to meet production quality yields and labor standards, supervising production supervisors, and overseeing housekeeping, safety, sanitation, and security. The successful candidate will have experience in a meat processing environment, knowledge of OSHA/USDA/HACCP regulations, and strong leadership to drive operational efficiency and safety across the shift.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of related industry experience
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferably in a meat processing facility
- knowledge of OSHA USDA HACCP regulations
- ability to manage budgets and records
- strong communication skills
- ability to work 2nd shift
- travel 0-10%
