Job Summary
Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of facilities, equipment, utilities, and supporting infrastructure across outdoor, indoor, and waterfront environments. Support electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and landscaping teams with general repair tasks, while performing daily facility walk-downs to report issues requiring advanced intervention. Respond to maintenance tickets and assigned work orders, assisting with landscaping, irrigation, path maintenance, and minor painting to ensure guest and staff areas remain functional and hazard-free. Communicate task status and operational needs with supervisors and cross-department teams, adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards. Manage tools, inventory, and documentation while providing technical support for special events and facility improvements. Work in a fast-paced cruise port environment, often near water or machinery, with flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Must have full range of motion and sensory capability to participate in emergency drills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic cruise port environment
- Must be available for flexibility in work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work near water, machinery, or moving vehicles
- Must be able to work a shift schedule while at any of the destinations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in facilities or technical operations, preferably in a hospitality or resort environment
- Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and landscaping systems
- Familiarity with RO and wastewater plant operations
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in using maintenance management systems and computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic maintenance or technical experience
- Additional education, courses or certifications in Hospitality or a related field
