Job Summary
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues to provide effective and timely repairs. Maintain and repair building structures, including walls, doors, windows, and flooring, to uphold safety and appearance standards. Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or large-scale maintenance projects as needed. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, materials used, and equipment status to support operational planning and compliance. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during maintenance activities. Assist in setting up and maintaining equipment and facilities for special events or operational changes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in general maintenance or a related field, preferably within the accommodation or food service industry
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
Desired Qualifications
- Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to the hospitality industry
- Ability to perform minor carpentry and painting tasks
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and external vendors
