General Maintenance

General Maintenance will perform maintenance and repair duties to support safe and efficient malt plant operations, including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment inspections. Utilize maintenance systems and tools to complete work orders, communicate operational updates, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Demonstrates adherence to Plant and Safety policies (Risk assessments, Lock Out Tag Out, Hot Work Permits, PPE, Confined Space Permits). Self-directed and capable of working without direct supervision; communicates job knowledge and process changes to team and management via daily production meetings, emails, shift handovers, action logs, and work orders. Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Email) and SAP for parts lookup, ordering, planned inspections, and maintenance work orders. Actively participate in Voyager Plant Optimization Program and Safety programs. Education and experience: High school Diploma or GED; 3 years’ Industrial/Production mechanical experience recommended; Vocational/Technical training preferred. Must meet physical demands (lifting up to 50 lbs., dusty/wet environments with PPE) and perform maintenance on plant equipment including grain handling equipment, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and related systems; includes metal fabrication, layout, assembly, and welding.
