Job Summary
General Machinist (Day Shift - 7am to 3:30 pm) responsible for producing high-precision components through setup, operation, and maintenance of both manual and CNC machining equipment. Reads engineering drawings and specifications to plan operations, sets up and runs machines, measures parts with precision tools, performs fitting/assembly, inspects with calibrated instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM), and maintains tooling and safety procedures in a Windsor, Ontario plant. Requires 3-5 years of machining experience, strength in tolerances and quality documentation, and the ability to interpret complex technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in machining/manufacturing
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Proficiency with manual and CNC machining equipment
