Job Summary
Experienced General Liability Personal Injury Attorney sought to join Morgan & Morgan's Detroit office. Responsibilities include day-to-day handling of pre-litigation and litigation cases, drafting and filing of litigation documents (pleadings, discovery requests/responses, demands, motions, memos), guiding plaintiff clients through the case process, coordinating with expert witnesses (reports/affidavits), and participating in depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances. Qualifications require a J.D. from an accredited law school, active Michigan State Bar admission, and a minimum of 2+ years of personal injury/premises liability experience. Strong client service, communication, and advocacy skills are essential, along with the ability to manage high volumes of cases. Compensation includes base salary with guaranteed commission and uncapped bonuses, plus a full benefits package including medical/dental, 401(k), PTO, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Law degree (J.D. / JD / Juris Doctor) from a fully accredited law school
- Active member in good standing with the State Bar Association (Michigan required)
- Minimum 2+ years of personal injury / premises liability experience
- Ability to manage high volume of pre-lit and litigation cases
- Excellent client service and communication skills
- Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
- Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
