Job Summary
Manage general liability claims from initiation to resolution, conducting detailed investigations to gather evidence, assess liability, and determine damages. Collaborate with defense counsel and leadership to develop litigation strategies, evaluate exposure, and negotiate settlements while preparing files for mediations, hearings, and trials. Analyze reserves, prepare settlement evaluations, review medical records, and identify subrogation opportunities to mitigate future losses. Ensure compliance with policy language, ISO forms, and industry standards. Requires a valid Florida 6-20 Adjuster's License, five plus years of experience, and strong negotiation skills.
Required Qualifications
- Five plus years of experience adjusting General Liability claims, including litigated files
- Thorough understanding of policy language, exclusions, claims practices, and ISO forms
- Valid Florida 6-20 Adjuster's License
- Minimum of three years' experience managing general liability claims
- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Strong prioritization, organization, and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently, collaborate with counsel, and drive cases to resolution
