Job Summary
Review Trial Balance to ensure monthly expenses are properly recognized and perform standard manual journal entries for property tax, lease, payroll accruals, and prepaid items. Analyze financial data to explain spending variances to Plan and support the Month End and Annual Close Cycle to completion within two working days. Execute multi-account reconciliations in Blackline software, lead roles in the annual Physical Inventory event, and prepare cost center spending files for the budget cycle. Complete Operational Weekly Reports covering scrap and plant metrics. This role serves the Water Heater Division in Montgomery, AL, requiring a four-year degree in accounting or finance and 2–4 years of General Ledger experience in a manufacturing environment. Oracle General Ledger experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Four (4) year degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field of study
- 2-4 years of General Ledger experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with ERP system
- Excellent analytical and problem identification/solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- MS Office Experience
