Job Summary
Construct formwork, handle materials, and place epoxy grout for equipment foundations while maintaining precise alignment and documentation. Rigging, site preparation, and surface preparation tasks occur under skilled trade direction, utilizing levels, squares, and measuring tapes to meet tight tolerances. Maintain clean work areas, participate in JSAs and toolbox talks, and report daily time and material data to supervisors. Full-time permanent or project assignments require current safety certifications including Confined Space and Fall Protection, with competitive wages and premiums for shutdown rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial settings with a focus in carpentry or general labour tasks
- Hands-on experience or willingness to learn epoxy grout tasks
- Familiarity with industrial system formwork (e.g., Doka, Peri) and site-specific formwork concepts
- Proficiency in rigging, material handling, and basic use of precision measuring tools (levels, squares)
- Current safety certifications (Confined Space, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, AWP)
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in concrete placement, finishing, or general industrial labour
- Experience in turnaround/shutdown, oil & gas, or heavy industrial/mining environments
- Ability to read and interpret basic structural drawings and blueprints
