General Labourer – Hose Testing (Vancouver, BC)

Job Summary
Unloading, laying out, and organizing fire hoses in the parking lot while visually inspecting jackets and couplings for defects. Connect hoses to testing manifolds and hydrants, then pressurize them to required PSI levels per NFPA 1962 standards. Monitor and record test durations and pressure readings, identifying leaks or damage to tag out defective units. Drain, dry, and re-roll hoses after successful testing, keeping the work area organized and safe throughout the day. Follow all safety protocols and work under supervisor direction. Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, with CSA-approved steel-toe boots required. Provide own transportation to Firehall 10, UBC, for this temporary role from August 4 to 29.

- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the full project duration
