Job Summary
Operate pumps to transfer biosolids from tanker trailers to land application equipment and manage flow for controlled, efficient application. Conduct regular maintenance on pumps, hoses, and spreading mechanisms while inspecting equipment to prevent breakdowns. Effectively communicate with supervisors and drivers regarding application data, equipment issues, and team concerns. Requires a valid G or G2 license, 1-3 years of agriculture experience, and flexibility for varied schedules including 12+ hour days. Hands-on training is provided.
Required Qualifications
- Valid G or G2 license with a clean abstract
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, work may include 12+ hour days and out of town work
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in the agriculture industry preferred
- Experience operating and maintaining tractors/heavy equipment is an asset
- Safety certifications, such as Working at Heights and CPR are considered an asset
- IT literate, able to understand, record and manage data across different software platforms
