Job Summary
General Labourer responsible for wrapping, banding, labeling, counting, and identifying lumber using various lumber handling equipment; operates lumber handling equipment, applies barcodes to lumber, bands and wraps lumber, hand piles wood, services production machines, maintains a clean yard, adheres to safety rules, and supports customer service commitments. Position includes permanent full-time hours with a unionized environment, BC location, and supervision from Plant Manager. Compensation is $22.33/hour per the collective bargaining agreement, with health benefits, overtime potential, group RRSP, and stock-purchase option. Requirements include English proficiency, ability to lift 50 pounds, steel-toed boots, and forestry/wood processing background as assets; forklift certification and Level Three First Aid are assets. Education preferred is high school graduation.
