Job Summary
Unload, tag, and sort palletized and bulk electronic waste shipments, then disassemble equipment using air guns and hand tools. Identify components from disassembly and sort them into correct material bins. Maintain a clean work area by removing trash and packaging debris throughout the shift. Communicate any process delays or safety issues to the production supervisor or operations manager. Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production and efficiency goals are met while adhering to all eCycle policies, SOPs, and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Proven qualities to jobs requiring additional physical and mental efforts
- Demonstrated aptitude for handling and knowledge of electronics
- Manual labour as required- Must be able to lift 50 lbs (23 kg) without assistance and use a pallet jack
- Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing/warehouse environment
- Demonstrate basic problem solving, effective communication skills, attention to detail, manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination
- Must be able to read and carry out instructions for S.O.P.s, and possess basic math skills
- Experience with manual and basic power tools, especially air guns
- Ability to wear PPE and adhere to all Health and Safety requirements
- Demonstrated high level of personal accountability, reliability, sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Communication skills both verbally and written
- Ability to follow instructions
- Flexibility to work on multiple lines
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturing or warehouse experience is preferred but not required
- WHMIS, Health and Safety, First Aid training is an asset
