Job Summary
Work quickly, productively, and safely to meet production goals as outlined by the Leadman, Foreman, Superintendent, and/or Project Manager. Follow daily production schedules and activities while ensuring the job-site is safe prior to commencing work. Maintain a clean site by picking up tools, securing equipment, and performing general laborer tasks as needed. Use various job tools and equipment under supervision. This full-time role in Alamogordo, New Mexico requires occasional overtime and weekend work. Candidates must lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and possess the stamina to navigate uneven surfaces and various construction sites safely.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate verbally with others on site, in person and over the telephone
- Ability to read printed materials, signs and directions
- Stamina to maintain attention despite interruptions
- Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, handle or feel objects, supplies, tools, machinery and/or controls weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to climb stairs and/or ladders
- Ability to balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift overhead, traverse around or otherwise position one's self around the required work and safety requirements
- Ability to navigate and perform activities on various construction sites in a safe manner
- Ability to work outside, frequently for long periods of time in all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures
- Ability to work while exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris
- Full-time availability
- Availability for occasional overtime
- Availability for weekend work
- Passing a pre-employment drug screen
