Job Summary
Entry-level Utility Locator/Field Technician to locate underground utilities, read maps and blueprints, determine the best locating method, and use provided equipment to accurately locate underground utilities. Training is provided on the job. The role involves outdoor work in all weather, independence, problem-solving with speed and accuracy, and communication with peers, managers, and homeowners. The employer provides a company vehicle with a fuel card and home access, plus benefits including PTO, paid holidays, footwear vouchers, and a 401(k) with match. Must be able to operate a laptop to receive, document and process tickets.
Required Qualifications
- Eighteen years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week
- Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment for extended periods of time; lifting objects up to 25 lbs or lifting in excess of 75 lbs with tool aids
- Pass pre-employment background and drug screening
- Schedule: flexible schedule (evenings, weekends, occasional Holiday)
