Job Summary
Field Technician/Utility Locator role based in Maple Grove, MN. Responsibilities include locating underground utilities, troubleshooting, and marking ground using paint/flags; training provided with on-the-job instruction; use of maps, blueprints, and locate equipment; operate a company-provided vehicle and laptop to document tickets; communicate with peers, managers, and homeowners; adapt to a flexible schedule including occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations; safety-focused work ethic and independent problem-solving. Requirements include 18+ years old, HS diploma or equivalent, valid driver license, ability to walk several miles daily, lift requirements, and successful background/drug screening. Starting pay is $21.50/hour or more based on experience; benefits include PTO, holidays, safety shoe vouchers, 401(k) with company match, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- Eighteen years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week
- Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment for extended periods of time; lifting objects up to 25 lbs or lifting in excess of 75 lbs with tool aids
- Pass pre-employment background and drug screening
