Job Summary
Stake Center Locating is hiring entry-level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground using paint and flags. Training is provided with 100% paid on-the-job training. Responsibilities include reading maps and blueprints, determining the locating sequence, using locate equipment, and communicating effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners. Must enjoy outdoor work in all weather, be able to work independently, and solve problems quickly and accurately. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour with benefits including 401(k) matching, PTO, paid holidays, safety shoes vouchers, and company-provided vehicles for daily use.
Required Qualifications
- Eighteen years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week
- Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment and lift up to 25 lbs (occasional up to 75 lbs with tool aids)
- Pass pre-employment background and drug screening
