Job Summary
Assemble door kits and mount them on metal buildings while ensuring all components meet quality standards. Monitor, track, and maintain accurate inventory records using the GSS ERP System, including receiving, labeling, storing materials, and conducting physical counts to reconcile discrepancies. Pick and prepare components for kitting based on bills of materials or work orders, coordinating with procurement and fabrication teams to forecast and manage inventory. This 10-hour, Monday-through-Thursday shift operates from 5:30am to 3:30pm with possible Friday overtime in a climate-controlled environment. The role requires physical stamina to lift up to 100 lbs and the ability to use power tools.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use power tools
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials
- General understanding of construction methods and materials
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent work history - including strong attendance record and tenure
- Self motivated conscientious worker
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test and physical capacity test, including, but not limited to, the ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Previous work experience reading and understanding assembly instructions or blueprints
