Job Summary
General Laborer (Fire Watch) assists Craft Journeyman and Craft Helpers with site-prep, housekeeping, and a variety of duties on construction projects. Duties include operating jackhammers and drills, maintaining and repairing tools, assisting with formwork for concrete, signaling equipment, monitoring safety, relocating materials, and helping with site setup and dismantling scaffolding and temporary structures. Emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to Yates safety procedures; requires ability to lift up to 25 lbs and use personal PPE.
Required Qualifications
- Six to eighteen months of heavy industrial-related experience
- Completed Yates Safety Training for Fire Watch and/or Hole Watch Level I
- Personal hand tools required for craft as established on the Yates Industrial Minimum Tool List
- Successful completion of required Safety training including Confined Space, LOTO, and Working at Heights
