Job Summary
Conduct strenuous manual labor on heavy and highway construction projects, including shoveling bituminous concrete, fine grading fill, excavating trenches, and assisting with asphalt patching. Load and unload trucks, haul materials, and maintain a clean job site by securing tools and equipment daily. Work eight to ten hours per day outdoors in all weather conditions, performing tasks requiring lifting up to sixty pounds and constant awareness of concurrent site activities. Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed by communicating effectively with foremen and supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to understand work directions
- Must be able to communicate effectively with job site foremen, supervisors and fellow employees
- Must be able to work eight (8) to ten (10) hours per day
- Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather, including extreme heat
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to kneel
- Must be able to lift up to sixty pounds
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to squat
- Must be able to walk
- Must possess manual dexterity
- Willingness and ability to perform manual work
