Job Summary
General Laborer needed to support asphalt paving and grading crews. Responsibilities include performing unskilled tasks such as shoveling asphalt, stone or dirt; using tools like shovel, rake, lute, broom, pick, hammer, saw, pneumatic hammer, drill, tamp, and concrete saw; operating a farm-type tractor with power broom attachment; serving as designated spotter with training provided. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift (regularly 25+ lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs), and endure long hours including weekends and some nights; safety-conscious with ability to follow precise instructions. Minimum qualifications include one year experience and a valid NC driver’s license; company emphasizes a strong attendance record and adherence to safety policies.
