Job Summary
Set up and tear down casing tables, flush casings onto horns, and move up to 40 pounds of casings from runners to stuffing tables. Pull coils from turntables, fix holes and tie knots, and match coils to achieve 14-16 loops per stick. Twirl, pick up, and hang sausage and links at prescribed rates while operating Multivac machines, filling boxes, and stacking finished product. Move product as needed, remove racks, label and date boxes, and keep the area clean. Empty gut pans into tanks, observe quality specifications, and complete all paperwork and SAP functions. Maintain general manufacturing practices and comply with safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF requirements. Perform any other work assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level minimum of 20 pounds frequently
- Ability and willingness to use both hands to perform various tasks
- Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on a conveyor and/or other processing equipment
- Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours
- Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently
- Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees
- Ability and willingness to distinguish between shades and/or colors
- Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
- Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions
- Ability and willingness to enter data, print, read and comprehend information in SAP
