Job Summary
Complete manual tasks related to finishing machined parts, including deburring, cutting nested parts, and sanding to achieve specific finishes. Set up, operate, and adjust manual equipment such as hand routers, pneumatic hand tools, and drill presses. Accurately account for work completed and scrap generated, while checking machined parts for flaws and verifying part counts before final inspection. Maintain housekeeping and organization of work areas in accordance with company policy and lean initiatives. This role supports Eagle Performance Plastics' custom job shop operations in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education
- Ability to accurately use basic precision measuring equipment to verify compliance to dimensional specification, such as a caliper, steel ruler, and tape measure
- Ability to work under limited supervision, following processes
- Efficient use of computer hardware and software systems associated with the job
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization in both written and verbal form
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work orders, bill of materials, policies, procedures, and basic reports
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
