Job Summary
Operate Class B vehicles to transport goods for Central Ohio Farmers Co-op Inc., assist with loading/unloading, and support warehouse operations and inventory management. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks, maintain delivery records, and communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates to ensure timely task completion. Demonstrate safety-conscious driving and labor practices, and adapt to varying weather conditions while working independently or as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- No DUI's or OVI's in past five years
- Current DOT Medical Certificate with a minimum of one year approval
- Proficient in operating and maintaining various types of farm equipment and machinery
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to both driving and general labor tasks
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and customers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic
- All other duties as assigned
- No experience required in a general labor role, but prefer some agriculture knowledge and/or interest in agriculture
- At least 1 year of experience operating commercial vehicles with a Class B CDL
