Job Summary
Perform labor tasks within and around the plant, assisting in manufacturing by working on production lines to re-case, repackage, and handle product rework. Comply with all safety, GMP, quality, and food safety requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work area. Prepare and maintain materials and equipment at the start, during, and end of production, ensuring accurate coding and labeling per specifications. Manage products while maintaining line speed and quality standards, reading codes and changing coder machines as needed. Seal and return unused materials to the warehouse, turn off coding and taping machines, and clean equipment for the next shift. Work overtime and weekends as required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Must provide physical attendance
- Must be able to follow instructions, including standard manufacturing procedures and processes
- Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must have the ability to write simple correspondence and effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, other employees in the organization and vendors
- Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions and decimals
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended period of time
- Repeated bending, rushing, pulling, pulling, twisting, squatting, and stooping
- Dual simultaneous grasping
- Ability to climb stairs as needed
- Repetitive lifting to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to conduct basic troubleshooting to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability and desire to train other associates
