Job Summary
General Helper supports the culinary team in a camp setting, performing kitchen-support duties across shifts, including cleaning, stocking, labeling, rotating products, assisting in food production, and receiving/storing supplies. The role requires teamwork, ability to manage multiple tasks, and capacity to meet physical demands (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, climbing stairs). The position operates on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation at remote camp sites with meals and accommodations provided, travel to site from designated Winnipeg/Thunder Bay/Dryden areas, and an hourly wage around $19.10. Strong asset: prior Large-scale kitchen/camp experience and Food Safe certification; must have government ID and ability to pass a background check.
Required Qualifications
- Current Food Safe certification is an asset
- Ability to commit to a 2 week on/2 week off rotation
- Must have valid government issued photo ID for travel to site
- Must have the ability to complete a Criminal Background Check
- Ability to handle physical demands: lift up to 50 lbs, stand, climb stairs, etc.
